- What is tippin' and how does it work?
- Tippin' is a simple way to receive tips and support — in venues, service businesses, and online. A customer, guest, or viewer can quickly send a tip using popular payment methods, and the funds go directly to you.
- Does the customer need to install an app?
- Absolutely not. The customer doesn't download any app or register. They scan the code, click, and pay. Speed is our priority.
- What payment methods do you support?
- We support the most popular mobile payments: BLIK, Apple Pay, Google Pay, cards (Visa, Mastercard), and Revolut Pay. This allows customers to leave a tip in 5 seconds.
- How much does it cost and who covers the fee?
- Registration and using tippin' are completely free — we don't charge any commission. The only cost is the payment processor fee (1 PLN + 1.6% per transaction), which the customer can voluntarily cover for you. This way, your tip reaches you almost in full.
- Do I need to have a company to use tippin'?
- No. You can register as an individual (e.g., waiter, hairdresser). We also support business accounts for restaurants and beauty salons that want to manage tips for their entire team.
- Tax matters – do I need to report tips?
- Yes, in Poland all income is subject to taxation. Tips received through tippin' are usually treated as "income from other sources". We provide you with a transparent transaction history that makes it easier to correctly file your annual tax return.
- Security – where is my money?
- Your funds are secure. We use Stripe Connect infrastructure (a financially supervised payment institution). Your money is collected in an individual technical account and is your exclusive property until withdrawal.
- What does the registration and account verification process look like?
- Registration takes about 3 minutes. It requires providing basic information and completing automatic identity verification (KYC) performed by Stripe. This is a legal requirement guaranteeing the security of your finances. After verification, your account is immediately active.
- Do I need a payment terminal to accept tips?
- No, tippin' works completely independently of payment terminals. Your phone becomes the terminal. All you need to do is show your customer your unique QR Code (on your phone screen or printed), and the customer pays on their device. This is a "SoftPOS" solution without additional equipment.
- Is my QR Code permanent and unique?
- Yes, your QR Code is a unique identifier assigned to your account in the Stripe system. You can print it, place it on your business card, "tent card" on a table, or show it on your phone screen – it will always redirect the payment directly to you.
- Is tippin' only for venues and service businesses, or also for online creators?
- Tippin' works not only in venues and service businesses, but also online. Creators, streamers, and community builders can use it to easily receive tips and support from viewers, fans, and audiences.
- Can I use tippin' without a QR code?
- Yes. A QR code is just one option. You can also share your profile and support link online — for example in your bio, on your website, on social media, or under your stream.
- Can I show tippin' tips on my stream in OBS?
- Yes. Tippin' is developing OBS integration so you can display tip alerts directly on your stream. This makes it easier for viewers to support you, and new tips can appear live as an overlay.
- How can I track my earnings and payment history?
- You have access to a real-time management panel. You can see every transaction immediately after it's completed (push notification). We also provide detailed daily and monthly reports that make it easier to track your personal budget or tax settlements.
