Your client doesn't have to decide at the reception desk, where they are paying for the service anyway. They take the card with the code and leave the tip in the evening — the link works all the time.

Paid out to your bank account
Tips land in your Stripe balance. You request a payout with one click and the bank transfer usually takes a day or two.

A haircut is priced differently than a colour. You enter three suggestions, say 20, 30 and 50 PLN — the middle one is preselected and usually the one clients pick.

You download a PNG with your QR code and your own text. All that's left is to print it and put it at your station or slip it in with a loyalty card.

From sign-up to your first tip
Create an account
Name, email and password. No tax ID, no sole proprietorship and no contract — about three minutes.
Enable payouts
Stripe verifies your identity: an ID document, a phone number and the bank account the money should go to. It's a legal requirement for accepting payments. About five minutes.
Put the QR code at your station
In a frame by the mirror, on a card handed over after the appointment or on your phone case. You can take your first tip the same day.
How much of the tip stays with you?

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a registered business?＋
No. You sign up as a private individual — name, email and password are enough, then identity verification in Stripe. No tax ID and no sole proprietorship.
Does the salon have to agree or install anything?＋
tippin' asks nothing of your employer: no terminal, no cash register integration, no contract. You open the account yourself and the QR code is yours. Rules on accepting tips do differ from salon to salon, though, so it's worth checking how it works where you are.
The client paid for the service by card at reception — what about the tip?＋
The tip is a separate, voluntary payment made from their own phone: they scan your code, pick an amount and pay. It has nothing to do with the bill for the service or the salon's till, so there is nothing to ask for at the counter.
When do I get the money?＋
You see the tip in your dashboard right after it's paid. You request the payout yourself with one click, and Stripe handles the transfer — usually a business day or two.
Do I have to declare tips in my tax return?＋
Yes — Polish tax law makes no exception for tips. Your dashboard keeps the full history of payments and payouts, so you have what you need. Who pays, how much and on which form — we wrote it up on the blog.
